Marriage is hard work, and raising a family is even more so, which is why we’re here tonight to celebrate everything that my parents have given up in order to provide the best life possible for their loved ones.  They have been together for 25 years, and my siblings and I couldn’t be more proud to have parents such as these as role models.  One thing you have to know about my Mom and Dad is that they were parents first and husband and wife second, never hesitating to put on hold any plans that they might have had in order to take care of us.  Even when my siblings and I would fight and misbehave, our parents were always forgiving and continued to steer us in the right direction.  Mom and Dad, we’re not sure how we can begin to thank you for everything that you have done for our family, and it will probably take us forever to repay you, but one thing that we wanted to do was throw this gathering and have everyone come out who has enjoyed being a part of your lives.  Each person who’s here tonight represents someone whose life has been impacted by you for the better, and we’re grateful for all of the years, the love, and the support that you have given us.
